Welcome to the Wawasee Yacht Club

The Wawasee Yacht Club (est. 1935) is located in Northern Indiana on the state's largest natural lake. Lake Wawasee boasts a surface area of over 3,000 acres and some of the best inland sailing in the region. During the Summer months, WYC is home to four competitive one-design fleets, an acclaimed junior sailing program, and a number of premier regattas and social events for its members.

Our mission is to foster, promote, and encourage the sport of sailboat racing, and to promote the science of seamanship.

I Scow Nationals (September 13-15)

With Andy Allen chairing, we host another national regatta for our favorite double handed scow class. Two years ago co-chairs Mike Beesly and Greg Moore put on an amazing nationals regatta, and I know Andy is working hard to deliver another great one.
